Adventure Tours

moto-africa Adventure Tours

Clear the cobwebs! moto-africa's Adventure Tours are unashamedly dirt road biased. We seek out uniquely scenic African destinations and roads off-the-beaten-track. For the duration of the tour we will occupy your body and soul with physical riding challenges and uniquely African scenic beauty.

Each Adventure Tour is led by an experienced adventure tour guide that will capably steer you through our daily riding challenges; whether they are river crossings, steep mountain passes or rutted gravel tracks. And yes, sometimes even sandy tracks! Where necessary they will teach you new riding skills and impart their wealth of knowledge of the regions' unique cultures, customs and history

In true adventure riding style, you carry everything you'll require for the duration of the tour on your bike in the luggage systems provided.

After a long day in the saddle we aim to provide you with a comfortable stay and good food at venues with a uniquely local flavour to enjoy in the relaxing company of your new biking friends.

Previous gravel riding experience is essential for your safety and enjoyment of these tours and we highly recommend taking an off-road riding course before you participate in these tours. Unless you are a very experienced pillion rider we do not recommend riding two-up.

Leisure Tours

moto-africa Leisure Moto Tours moto-africa's Leisure Tours are easy going and mostly on good and scenic asphalt roads, with easy dirt roads to complement your African riding experience.

We take it easy and stop to view points of interest, scenic vistas with the opportunity to sometimes participate in adventure sports such as bungee jumping, tree top zip-line tours and visiting a special cave or African Game Reserve along the way.

Our Leisure Tours generally do not detour to far from civilization but, visit uniquely African destinations, with comfortable stays and good food to complement a perfect riding day.

Tour Symbols Explained

moto-africa remote destinations symbol REMOTE DESTINATIONS

Africa still have many remote destinations with limited or no telephone connections, breakdown service or medical assistance. Hygiene standards may not be what you are used to and there may be free roaming wildlife, malaria mosquitoes etc. Awesome Africa !

moto-africa back-up vehicle symbol BACK-UP VEHICLE

At moto-africa we only employ a back-up vehicle when explicitly indicated or on special request from participants. In true adventure riding style you carry everything you require on tour on your bike. We deal with each tour disruption when they arise to ensure mobility.

daily riding hours symbol - moto-africa DAILY ESTIMATED RIDING HOURS

Our daily estimated riding time symbol is an indication of how many hours we will spend on the road. On some of our remote tours the daily riding hours are more extreme and will require some hard riding on specific days. We always aim to be at our overnight destination before sundown with some time to relax before dinner. Our experienced guides will ensure sufficient rest breaks along the road and endeavour to deliver you to your overnight destination within the indicated riding hours

Our adventure tours are as per our description above gravel roads and off-road biased. Experience in riding your motorcycle off-road is essential.
